I was going to detail the last few days' sleep deprivation, but it turns out that I'm so deep into sleep debt that the details are fuzzy.

What I do recall is as follows:

Follow the schedule on Sunday. Eric has me on it starting a boat on 223 around the end of the day, but the pilots' website doesn't even have that boat on it. I call him before laying ( Read more... )

Lay down in bed, and immediately felt wide-awake. I just don't understand, I was so tired that I earlier had dozed off for half an hour while I was watching Leno DVR'd from a few days ago.

Makes no fucking sense... I feel just as tired if not more, and I can't sleep when given the opportunity.

I am very un-awake today. I've been feeling very slow and robotic at work.

4.5 hours of sleep and no coffee will do that to someone.

I wish I didn't have to do laundry when I get home. At this point, I want nothing more than to go straight to bed.

Twice now I've lain in bed for over an hour. Can't sleep. Tried music, a drink before bed, and my other usual trick. No luck. I'm wondering if my body actually can adjust to this sleep pattern. Insomnia isn't good for my sanity.

This fucking sucks.

I get home today, and it's warm inside. Unusually so, more than usual. I usually keep it between 80-85 (dipping a bit lower when I first get home, as I like to cool off after sweating at work all day). I love the heat, but trying to sleep in 85F+ with high humidity is neigh unto impossible ( Read more... )
